In 1980 the world was in turmoil and worlds eyes focused on the little town of Lake Placid New York. Going into the Olympic games the Russian National Hockey team had one four straight olympic gold medals. The USA hockey team was not made up of professionals like Russia but rather College kids lead by Captain Mike Eruzione.
In the big game late in the 3rd Period Mike Eruzione scored a goal that changed the world leading to one of the greatest upsets in sports history.
Now nearly 38 years later the son of the Russian goalie is still upset as his family has been in exile since the big game. He doesn’t like Mike Eruzione and he wants to talk about it.
