Crusty A. Hamilton is a man that marches to the beat of his own drum. He doesn’t care that David Ortiz is a big lovable teddy bear that has had more clutch playoff hits than anyone in the history of Major League baseball. All he knows is that Ortiz watches half the game from the bench which he doesn’t consider as a real player.
While Ortiz has captured the imaginations of fans all over the world with his heroics, Crusty can’t put him in the same class as a guy that plays both sides the way the game was intended to be played. Old Crusty still plays baseball so he has his own view of what it takes to be considered a ball player.
